We are currently recruiting for a Junior Interior Designer This is a full time, temporary (1 year) position with the possibility of extension.

Primary Responsibilities

Reporting to the Accents Design Manager, the successful candidate will work directly with our show home interior designers and add support to all aspects of the show home merchandizing process. You will assist in documenting selections, performing drapery takeoffs, communicating with our trade partners, research and development of new products and ideas, and follow through the entire process to sourcing furniture, accessories and the final staging of the homes

This individual is a team player with a strong work ethic, excellent communication and writing skills and is well-versed in all aspects of interior design. This highly organized and efficient person will thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy having a diverse “to do” list.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree or College Certificate in Interior Design
  • Previous interior design experience is a must!
  • Previous Sales experience is an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of current trends and products
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and set priorities
  • Must be reliable, have a positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrity

We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Architectural Technologist and will award the opportunity to the strongest candidate we interview.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will join our team of drafting and design technologists whose primary responsibility is to draw complete customer home plans. This position requires a positive individual with strong technical, organizational and communication skills that will be an integral part of our drafting team and take on increasing responsibilities as experience levels grow.

Job Duties

  • Draw customer changes to standard plans including creating new alternate elevations, floor plans, details and options
  • Creating site plans
  • Submitting applications for approval to architectural control
  • Writing extra to contracts for additional architectural control requirements including clarifications using HomeFront
  • Completing check-sets for other team members
  • Requesting and checking structural layouts and required engineering
  • Maintaining standard plans
  • Creating reports
  • Communication and integration with other departments, architectural controls, developers, trades, suppliers and municipal or city officials
  • Participate in drafting department meetings, site visits and other meetings as requested.

Requirements

  • Architectural Technologists Program graduate or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the industry
  • Team player
  • A strong desire to contribute in a customer focused environment
  • Ability to meet goals and work to deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
  • Excellent technical knowledge in residential drafting
  • Speed, accuracy and proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent knowledge of local building codes and by-laws practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Extremely well organized with good interpersonal skills
  • Working experience in Revit will be an asset

The Area Sales Manager is a rewarding position and, with Trico, has the potential of earning commission of over $150,000.00/year, based on historic compensation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the Area Sales Team to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets while creating the most positive and memorable customer experience;
  • Work collaboratively with operational departments to manage customer expectations and foster the customer relationship through the purchase experience and building process;
  • Organize and complete all necessary paperwork and ensure the accuracy and maintenance of customer files;
  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism and quality within sales centre and the presentation of signage and marketing materials;
  • Respond quickly to customer concerns and the coordination of information or solutions to apparent challenges;
  • Acquire customer registrations and manage “lead” records within a database;
  • Coach and mentor Sales Associates, using training resources and the critical path for sales, to enhance sales and service skills.

Qualities & Qualifications

  • Completion of a four-year University Degree;
  • Five or more years of experience working in sales, with a proven ability to consistently exceed targets;
