We are currently recruiting for a Design Center Coordinator

This is a full time, temporary position (maternity leave coverage)

Summary

The Design Center Coordinator ensures that all products in the design center are updated as required and that all levels of the operation of the studio are managed as required.

Job Duties

  • Selecting interior palettes for spec homes.
  • Creation, documentation and entry of selections into system.
  • Supplier visits to make selections for discontinued or new products to display in the design center.
  • Manage sold spec home interior reselections, including advising on allowed changes, timelines and meeting with clients to make selections.
  • Managing correspondence between estimating department and client for sign off in a timely manner.
  • Attend preview nights as required (weekly or bi-weekly) to assist new and prospective clients in the design center.
  • Ensure supplies are stocked in the design center as required.
  • Manage all applicable pricing information for products offered in the design center.
  • Miscellaneous communication with trades and suppliers as required.
  • Maintain and distribute design center documentation including templates, processes and the Design Center Manual.
  • Manage all samples and displays within the design center, ensuring they are up-to-date and labelled correctly.
  • Conduct design center training for sales staff.
  • Assemble and distribute spec home colour sample packages for sales centers.
  • Support the Accents Design team with file processing and paper/electronic filing.

Requirements

  • Relevant Diploma preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Experience in design center for a residential builder is a requirement
  • Experience in sales related field is an asset
  • Proven track record with meeting deadlines
  • Interior Design Degree or Interior Design Certification
  • Construction terminology knowledge is an asset
  • Work well in a fast paced team environment
  • Action oriented with the ability to meet critical timelines
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule

Position Overview

The Designer will work under the supervision of the Marketing Manager and the VP of Marketing, to conceptualize, design and create graphic and visual materials (digital and/or printed) to effectively communicate concepts and information for publications, advertising, films, packaging, posters, signs, websites and other interactive medias. This individual will use extensive knowledge of specialized design concepts, media and software tools to develop comprehensive layouts and the production of marketing collateral. The Designer will work best in a busy and collaborative environment. This individual will love tackling diverse creative challenges where they can create outside-of-the box solutions. The Designer is a master at communicating thoughts and ideas in a visual and powerful way.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create both online and printed marketing materials for displays, advertising, websites, and other channels.
  • Create and produce JPEGs, PDFs, video, clip art, graphs, charts, infographics, thumbnail images, and other design elements.
  • Conceptualize and design flyers, advertisements, brochures, logos, signage, displays and other pieces as required.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop concepts & present ideas, rough layouts, sketches and/or digital illustrations.
  • Integrate multimedia concepts with technical graphic design elements, as appropriate.
  • Create and ensure brand guidelines are consistent in all marketing materials.
  • Keep marketing materials such as brochures, flyers and handouts current.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, marketing, communication or a related discipline.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in graphic design; Advertising Agency experience would be an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office applications, Adobe Creative Suite, CMS, Wordpress & Drupal
  • Skilled in concept development, design & layout.
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver tight deadlines.

We are currently recruiting for a: Digital Production & Marketing Coordinator

This is a full time, permanent position.

Position Overview

The Digital Production & Marketing Coordinator will play an integral role on the Trico Marketing Team. This individual is a team player with a strong work ethic that will ensure all deadlines are met, all projects are completed and external communication is current & up-to-date. The Digital Production & Marketing Coordinator is required to have a vehicle to drive to sales centres in the community and is willing to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends.

Job Duties

  • Oversee the coordination of Trico’s single and multi-family sales centres. This includes the planning, creation, production and installation and removal of marketing materials.
  • Showhome/Sales Centre set-up and coordination including phone/fax & cable hookups, office furniture move-in dates, installation dates, booking Grand Opening event activities.
  • Create and produce sales materials including spec sheets, displays, colour maps, home model brochures, colour floorplans and other design elements as required.
  • Create sales & marketing materials using publishing software (e.g. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and MS Office, etc.)
  • Create and produce png files for model elevations and plan your home options for website.
  • Inspect proofs for accuracy and adherence to corporate standards
  • Manage document flow to printer, ensuring most recent files are available for sales and irrelevant materials are removed in a timely manner.
  • Assist in making updates to the Trico Website, including adding new content using a content web management system.
  • Make design and content revisions to marketing materials and update maps & POS materials as needed by the sales team.
  • Design flyers, print and online ads, brochures, logos, signage, and other exhibits/displays based on design specifications.
  • Adhere to specifications and standards for printing and other production.
  • Provides technical graphics assistance to marketing team and sales associates.
  • Assist with the creation and management of the marketing budgets. Approve and code invoices and prepare monthly VISA report.
  • Assist with community event planning and coordination.
  • Participate in creative brainstorming and marketing planning meetings on a project-by-project basis.
  • Coordinate and maintain inventory of brochures for the marketing department library.
  • Assist with opening project dockets in Intervals & Traffic sheet.
  • Ensure toner & paper is fully stocked for the printer. Communicate with service techs for all colour printer issues or malfunctions
  • Submit & coordinate all materials for the SAM (national, provincial & local) & all other award entries
  • Liaise with developers/builders, share assets, coordinate details for showhome and community events
  • Proofread and coordinate approval process with all departments and executives
  • Act as a liaison between sales managers & vendors to execute all aspects of Trico’s marketing program including all signage (directional, lot & various), show home pageantry, brochures and point of sale displays, promotional websites, as well as community events
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Marketing Manager and VP of Marketing

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Business and/or Marketing
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a marketing coordinator role with a strong focus on digital production. Advertising agency or real estate marketing experience is an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office applications, Adobe Creative Suite, Survey Monkey & social media applications.
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Strong understanding of online marketing principles and practices.
