Trico Homes introduces a new line of homes in Redstone
Friday, July 12, 2019
Trico Homes is bringing a new jewel, comprised of wider lots and homes with floor plans well-suited for multi-generational families, to a community in northeast Calgary.
The Gems Series is an 80-lot development by Trico, earmarked for 56 single-family homes with a front-drive double car garage, and 24 of the laned single-family variety. One of the qualities that sets this development apart is that both the lots and homes will be wider than average.
“That allows us to do different things with homes that you can’t do with a regular home, just with the added space,” says Justin Rampersad, co-area sales manager for the Gems Series. “We’re able to offer bigger bedrooms, bigger living spaces in general, with the goal of multi-generational living.”

Trico Homes set to open new, exclusive enclave of homes in Redstone
Saturday, July 06, 2019
Trico Homes opens a new series of wide-shallow, laned homes on July 13 in the northeast Calgary community of Redstone.
The Gem Series homes are designed for multi-generational families and those wanting larger flexible homes that can accommodate legal suites, says Justin Rampersad, co-area sales manager for Trico.
“There are so many unique features about this development and these homes and Trico is the exclusive builder in this enclave,” says Rampersad. “The width of the homes is one of the features that stands out right away, ranging from 28- to 36-feet wide. To put things into perspective, a typical laned home is 20-feet wide, and a front-drive starts at 24 feet. This increased width is felt as soon as you walk into the homes.

The campaign runs through to July 15, during which time the builder will be donating $1,000 from every home sold to five local charities, with a goal of raising $50,000 over the 30-day period.

The Jade a perfect fit for large families
Saturday, June 22, 2019
This model, which has a double-car front-attached garage, measures 2,208 square feet, and is part of the Gems Series, an enclave in Redstone that boasts larger-than-average home and lot widths, and is exclusive to Trico.
On the main level, the front-facing flex room can be converted to a bedroom. With a full bathroom — presented in the show home — only a few steps away, the people who sleep here will never need to take the stairs.
For multi-generational households, this gives grandparents the opportunity to access all of the home’s everyday necessities on one level. It’s the benefits of a bungalow, but with their grandchildren and adult children with bedrooms on the level above, and potentially below.

Growing family finds a place to call home in Cornerbrook
Saturday, May 25, 2019
When Amin and Rozmin Lakhani learned they were expecting their first child, one of their first thoughts was that they needed a larger home — a place where he or she would grow up.
With lots backing onto the ponds and wetland areas, Amin says it was a rare opportunity for them to stay in the northeast, where they are deeply entrenched in the community, and to build a large home on a walkout lot.
They were fortunate to find a walkout lot backing onto a pond, which was perfect for Trico’s Kingston model home. At nearly 2,400 square feet, the front-drive, two-storey, move-up home has four bedrooms and a bonus room upstairs and a main floor flex room.
“I am mostly looking forward to watching the sunrise across the pond every morning and to raising our family here. We’re not sure if it’s a he or a she, but it will be his or her first home,” Amin says of their child who is expected in November.
