It’s rare these days to see a new home model designed without a Master Suite, each with some private space for the homeowner, a walk-in closet and private bathroom. But there’s a difference between just having your own bedroom, and having your DREAM Master Suite.

Your bedroom is the most intimate space in your home and we’ve done our best to design it in such a way to fit all your needs and desires. That said, all of our homes are drafted with a modern, functional base design, as well as with numerous options and upgrades that you can choose to make it your own. Master Suite options can include anything from adding overall square footage, dual sinks & vanities, a built-in coffee station, and even a sitting area or yoga retreat.

If you’re like me, you’re looking at that list and thinking, “YES PLEASE!”, but here are a few things you may want to consider when choosing your Master Suite options:

  • Do you want your bedroom to be a private, restful sanctuary?
  • If you’re sharing this space is there enough room for all of your personal items?
  • Besides sleeping, are there other activities you wish to do like watching TV, or exercising?
  • What kind of space will you need to perform daily tasks like dressing or putting on makeup?
  • Do you want to have extra seating for relaxing and reading?

Okay, maybe that didn’t help, but the last thing you need to think about is cost. Unless your budget is unlimited, you’ll need to consider the tradeoffs when choosing upgrades. (Sorry.)

One of my favourite Master Suites we’ve built since I started working here is The Stanton, in Riviera. One of three showhomes we introduced when the area opened in 2014, The Stanton was built with ALL the bells and whistles. The sinks, the shower, the luxurious tub, the coffee station, the retreat – it has it all. Take a look, you’ll fall in love.
