Happy Birthday, Canada!

One of our favourite weekends of the year, Canada Day long weekend is here! While the weather may not be ideal, there are plenty of affordable family-friendly activities and festivities happening around town to keep you and your family entertained if you’re sticking close to home this weekend!

Here are our favourite events that are being held to celebrate Canada, our wonderful and diverse country that we’re proud to call home.

  • 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • East Village District, 439 8 Avenue SE

Fort Calgary

  • 750 Ninth Avenue S.E.

Enjoy a concert series in the main tent with lots of local live music hosted by CBC’s own Julie Van Rosendaal. There’s an opening ceremony, family-friendly beer garden, kid’s activities, food truck caravan and Indigenous children’s games run by YMCA Calgary.

Olympic Plaza
