Calgary Stampede Foundation receives $1-million endowment for education programs

“Stampede School [is] a week-long experience that involves students and teachers moving their classrooms to Sweetgrass Lodge in Enmax Park. The school is one of the Calgary Stampede Foundation’s education programs, which are receiving a $1-million endowment from Wayne and Eleanor Chiu.”

Bob Thompson, chairman of the Calgary Stampede Foundation board, said in addition to supporting the education programs, the Chiu family’s $1-million endowment will ensure “Calgary’s youth have a welcoming place on Stampede Park.”
