Trico Homes Ltd. (“Trico Homes,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) efforts to expand and simplify its communication options with its customers and the public generally includes using SMS or MMS text messaging (“SMS messaging”). To avail itself of this option, Trico Homes requires persons to opt-in to this form of communication. By opting in and subscribing to receive SMS messaging from Trico Homes , you agree to these SMS Terms of Service (“SMS Terms”). These SMS Terms apply specifically to text messaging communications and are separate from Trico Homes’ general website Terms of Use.
1. SMS Messaging Content
Trico Homes may send SMS messaging to provide information related to our homes, communities, products, and services. SMS messaging may include, but are not limited to:
- New home construction activities and updates;
- Information, appointments and/or reminders for a new home under construction regarding:
- construction inspections.
- Trico Homes’ staff or supplier meetings relating to interior and exterior finishings and other appurtenances to a new home,
- selection of lighting and plumbing fixtures and appliances,
- completion and possession of the home,
- builder warranty and new home warranty coverage,
- community homeowners’ associations, and
- post-possession warranty service and repair work;
- Responses to inquiries;
- Miscellaneous information and activities necessary for the proper and timely construction of a new home and completion of any builder warranty work by Trico Homes;
- Community news and updates;
- New home promotional offers and marketing information; and
- Other general homeownership-related information.
Message content may vary depending on your relationship and interactions with Trico Homes.
2. Consent to Receive Messages
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in through Trico Homes’ web form, inquiry form, text keyword, or other opt-in mechanism, you consent to receive SMS messages from Trico Homes.
Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing a home or using our services.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency may vary depending on your engagement with Trico Homes, but you can expect to receive messages periodically based on your relationship, interactions, preferences, and inquiries.
4. Opt-Out and Help Instructions
If you are a current purchaser of a new home from Trico Homes, while your new home is under construction or builder warranty with Trico Homes you agree to not opt-out and will continue to receive SMS messaging unless satisfactory alternative arrangements are made with Trico Homes.
If you are not a current purchaser of a new home from Trico Homes, you may opt out and unsubscribe to receiving SMS messagingat any time by replying “STOP” to any SMS messaging received from Trico Homes. After opting out, you will receive a confirmation message and will no longer receive SMS messagingfrom us unless you opt in again.
Should you require help, simply reply “HELP” to any SMS messaging received from Trico Homes. Someone with Trico Homes will follow up with you as soon as reasonably possible.

5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Trico Homes is not responsible for any charges related to SMS messaging.
6. Liability Disclaimer
Neither Trico Homes, including any subsidiaries and affiliates and their respective shareholders, officers, directors, employees, consultants, agents, insurers, and assigns, nor any wireless carriers involved in the SMS messaging process are not liable for any claims of any and every kind and nature including regarding damages, losses, expenses, costs, interest, or injury purportedly caused by the SMS messaging process and any delayed or undelivered messages.
7. Supported Carriers
SMS services are supported by most major Canadian carriers; however, delivery may not be available on all carriers or devices.
8. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. We do not share SMS opt-in data or consent information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
